Changes in my life

So much is going on, I've not been here and all of my faithful readers have possibly fallen away. Sort of like the phone, will you quit calling in the wake of no response?
Anyway, I'm just gonna vent tonight.
I hate change. Just not my thing. Why is that, I wonder?
I have put in for a transfer on my job, needing a change badly there, but I may also be moving, back to where we lived for the girl's first 12 years.
Is this going forward or backwards?
Maybe I'll post some pictures.
Near my folks and my sister and brother-in-law, Tony, who is really more my brother than any brother I have. And I love my brothers mucho.
And near the mountains I love, the mountains I call home.
God is on the move with new things, and I am very excited for the new possibilities coming up.
But I find myself up at nights, worrying.
I just don't like change.

Patience

Nate Wolf of Everett, Washington, is the founder of The Gatekeepers Network, an organization dedicated to equipping Christian business leaders. This is excerpted from Chapter 7 in his book, The Gatekeepers.
"Patience is more than just having the ability to not become angry in a difficult situation. Patience is the power that will carry you through the painful moments of life into the pleasurable moments of life.

The Greek word translated as patience means "to be long in spirit or long in passion." Patience is doing what God's word say is right longer then your problems can stand it. Sufficient exposure to the word of God and the Holy Spirit before, during, and after crises will increase your patience (Gal. 5:22). The patience of God within you will always outlast the pain that's trying to come upon you.

Patience is the power that will keep you in the proper place and mindset, during discomfort or pain, until you possess your final promise and reach your ultimate purpose."
and by David Oyedepo of Africa, "
Why Wait? Your lifting with God is for appointed times and due seasons, and He's the only One who knows when your due season has come. If you strive to lay a hold on something before you're due, you'll be doomed.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9

Don't be tired in covenant walk because there is a due season. If you're on your feet when that season comes, you will reap your harvest, but if you faint, you fall."

Rosie's Shower!

I feel like I have nothing new to say, but I hate leaving my last post on spit for too long.
My daughter, Sarah, orchestrated another amazing gala event; the most delicious baby shower ever- done like an afternoon High- tea. I am so excited that Rosie's Baby shower could be this special- and Rosie could be so blessed. Homemade scones complete with clotted cream and various jellies, sausages wrapped in croissants, fruit tarts, chicken cashew salad, various other salads, all kinds of teas, great coffee- and we haven't even got to dessert yet! She had clotheslines of baby clothes hung, and bouquets of flowers. People were laughing over the very creative games and bonding with family and new friends. I love those games that make people who didn't know each other before end up seeking each other out to say goodbye afterwards!!
I'm telling you, Sarah should be a party planner!
Rosie's shower was a beautiful event, a great party. And my thanks go out to my family, especially my great sisters and Mom! I love you all!
When my peeps get me the pics I'll add a couple to this post. !
okay- my peeps haven't come through yet, so here's a stolen picture from Sarah's blog:

I guess I did have something to say-a major thing to be thankful for! It is such a great tradition- to help a new family get started on raising a child, to bring moral support, to rejoice with mommy and much needed gifts. To welcome the gift of God into the world in such a way!
And I am very grateful that Rosie was sooo blessed, that it all went so well, and for the bounteous generosity to my new granddaughter. God bless baby Selah!
